America vs Atlas:  Rodriguez’s Stellar Display Powers América to Lead

América vs Atlas match, América defeated Atlas 3-0 in the Ciudad de los Deportes stadium thanks to a good performance by Brian Rodríguez and the participation of Víctor Dávila, who scored one of the goals of the victory.

This sub-group took Atlas, which left with only 10 players for 60 minutes, and gave them quite a show for a fan base that once again deserted them in the bleachers.

In the 11 vs 11 match, the team in red and black uniforms complicated the affairs of the Coapa team. The most vital action in the first five minutes of the play was made by the protagonist, John Murillo, who made a run down the right side.

In that action, he feigned a couple of times of shooting and hit the ball slightly away from Luis Malagón’s goalpost. Right half of the field, Murillo was forced to become the primary route of attack for the Guadalajara team the entire match, which could not even reach the last 25 minutes of the field with possession of the ball.

The feathered ones started shooting first in a spectacular run by Brian Rodríguez, who through intricate dancing and dribbling got around three of his opponents to serve a cross to Rodrigo Aguirre, and he headed the first goal.

Red Card Fails to Spark America Offense

Their responses came again from the cross of Murillo to Idekel Domínguez, and after the shooting, Malagón intervened. The goalkeeper helped his team retrieve the ball and made a good save.

The match was conditioned by the red card for a second yellow card to Gaddi Aguirre, who was given the second card after fowling Rodrigo Aguirre.

The numerical advantage was not translated in the field América could not produce any threatening movement in the opponent’s territory. It resulted in frustration from the home fans, who started to jeer due to the absence of imaginative play in the opponent’s half.

At half-time, André Jardine brought on Henry Martín and Víctor Dávila; the latter had his first clear-cut opportunity as an Eagles player as he put a cross in for Javairô Dilrosun, whose shot went way over the bar. In the second half, América was more effective in ball possession, and when Dávila arrived, the dynamics of the feathered team changed.

America’s Playoff Push Gains Momentum with Dominant Win

It was the Chilean who made the second goal. Richard Sánchez performed a filtered pass, and although he was in front of Dávila, he did not look for him but found the ball, took control of it and defined it in front of Camilo Vargas’ goal. The Chilean told them thank you and was thrilled to have the dream of getting to be a bit of a bird element.

The match turned into a celebration for América after the goal was scored by Brian Rodríguez the goal was scored in a run down the left flank. The shot from Uruguayan and the ball went to Camilo, and he could not prevent the score from becoming 3-0.

And so América won by a landslide, and the fans were able to witness the real deal. Next weekend marks the closing of the week with a crucial match against Necaxa. The team is determined to secure a spot in the Liguilla.

Atlas football team will try to start fighting for a victory and prove that four victories in the tournament are not random.
