The 2025 French Open has reached the thrilling quarter-final stage. Top players like Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, Iga Swiatek, and Aryna Sabalenka remain in contention for the title.

Meanwhile, surprise names like France’s Loïs Boisson and Kazakhstan’s Alexander Bublik have made unexpected deep runs.

This article breaks down all the key matches, analyzes players’ form, and explains how to watch the action live.

Djokovic Makes History, Faces Zverev in Rematch

Novak Djokovic just achieved a huge milestone—his 100th win at Roland Garros. Only Rafael Nadal had done this before in men’s singles. The Serbian star looks sharp, especially after winning gold at the Paris 2024 Olympics on these same courts.

His next opponent is Alexander Zverev, the Tokyo 2020 Olympic champion. Their last Grand Slam meeting at the 2025 Australian Open ended when Djokovic retired in the first set. Now, he gets a chance for revenge.

Zverev has been strong on clay this season, but Djokovic’s experience in big matches could be the difference. The winner will move one step closer to a possible final against Alcaraz or Sinner.

Other Men’s Quarter-Final Matchups

Sinner, the world No. 1, is the favorite, but Bublik has been a surprise star. The Kazakh player knocked out two top-10 opponents (Alex de Minaur and Jack Draper) to reach his first major quarter-final. His unpredictable style could trouble Sinner if he’s not careful.

Carlos Alcaraz showcased his dominance in the French Open, defending his title with an impressive 6-0, 6-1, 6-4 victory over American 12th seed Tommy Paul. This win secured him a place in the semi-finals at Roland Garros on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old Italian secured his first semi-final spot at the clay major on Tuesday, defeating Frances Tiafoe with a hard-fought score of 6-2, 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 in Paris.

Musetti battled Tiafoe for nearly three thrilling sets on Court Philippe-Chatrier before taking control and winning eight of the last ten games to clinch the match. He will face Alcaraz in the semi-finals.

Iga Swiatek triumphed over Elina Svitolina with a score of 6-1, 7-5, continuing her remarkable streak.

Swiatek’s 26th straight victory at Roland-Garros has secured her a spot in the French Open semi-finals, where she will face top-ranked Aryna Sabalenka on Tuesday.

Key match of Women’s Quarter-Finals

The top-ranked woman at the French Open is advancing to the semi-finals. Aryna Sabalenka secured her place in the final four on Tuesday by defeating Qinwen Zheng in straight sets. Sabalenka fought hard in the first set, winning 7-6, and then gained momentum, comfortably securing a 6-3 victory in the second set to win the match.

An all-American clash between two of the tour’s biggest hitters. Gauff, the world No. 2, is the favorite, but Keys has already won the Australian Open this year.

Andreeva, last year’s finalist, faces Boisson, a shock quarter-finalist ranked No. 361. Boisson is playing her first Grand Slam and has the French crowd behind her. Can she pull off another upset?
