New Zealand vs. Netherlands will compete in the fifth ODI World Cup 2023 match at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, on October 9. The NZ vs NED Hyderabad ODI is scheduled as a day-night match.

New Zealand played its second ICC ODI World Cup 2023 match against the Netherlands. In their first ODI on October 5, 2023, New Zealand defeated England by 9 wickets with 82 balls remaining at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. 

New Zealand has faced the Netherlands in ODI matches four times before, winning all four encounters. Three victories were by a margin of over 100 runs.

The Netherlands, the only Associate nation in the World Cup 2023, also played their second match in Hyderabad. They suffered an 81-run defeat to Pakistan on October 6, 2023. 

The warm-up matches for the Netherlands were affected by rain, with one being completely washed out. The team makes a comeback in their match against New Zealand and aims to send a strong message of their presence with a victory.

  • Colin Ackermann: Ackermann is a versatile all-rounder who can bat at the top or middle order and bowl medium pace. He is a key player for the Netherlands in both departments. He scored two centuries in the World Cup Qualifier tournament and is also a handy wicket-taker.
  • Bas de Leede: De Leede is another all-rounder who can bat and bowl. He is a more aggressive batsman than Ackermann and can also bowl at a good pace. He will look to play a major role in the Netherlands in the World Cup.
  • Logan van Beek: Van Beek is the Netherlands’ lead wicket-taker. He is a right-arm fast bowler who can bowl at a good pace and swing the ball. He will look to pick up early wickets and put the opposition under pressure.
