Will Jaiswal replace Kishan or Gill in India’s XI for 2nd T20I?

India’s Takeaways from the First T20I Against the West Indies

India had reasons to be unhappy with the first T20I they played against the West Indies, but they also had takeaways they could be proud of. They lost by four runs, which was a drawback. The manner their bowlers played and Tilak Varma’s strong debut was also good aspect, though. It held the West Indies to a score of 149/6 by Team India, led by Hardik Pandya.

Arshdeep Singh and Yuzvendra Chahal each took two wickets. Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav both took one wicket. Tilak helped to remove the dangerous Johnson Charles and Nicolas Pooran, with the former’s catch being a bit of a screamer. Tilak was India’s top scorer at the time. While he was in the middle, the visitors appeared to be well on their way to the goal.

Ishan Kishan, Shubman Gill, and Suryakumar Yadav all fail in India’s chase

Before being dismissed by Romario Shepherd, he made 39 off 22 balls while hitting two fours and three sixes. The West Indies effectively silenced the top stars in the Indian batting order. India suffered because their top order struggled in the chase, and Kuldeep came in when they had only lost six wickets.

Ishan Kishan only scored six runs after having half-centuries in all three games of the previous ODI series and the previous Test. Shubman Gill scored only three runs. Suryakumar Yadav, who wants to regain his touch, was caught for a run-a-ball of 21. After his ODI failures, it regarded him as the best hitter in the world.

Will India stick with the same XI or make changes?

By dismissing Pandya and Samson, West Indies captain Jason Holder delivered the decisive over. Pandya was clean bowled for 19 runs off 19 balls, while Samson was run out two balls after, getting 12 runs off 12 balls.

Pandya is a captain who gives his teammates more chances. He will probably stick with the same XI from the first T20I, unless conditions change. If the tactic fails, India might replace Ishan Kishan or Shubman Gill with Yashasvi Jaiswal, who is another young player. Both Kishan and Gill are considered potential stars.

In Guyana, however, it seems likely that Gill and Kishan will begin the batting for India, with one of Kuldeep, Chahal, Arshdeep, or Mukesh coming out to bat at No.6.
