Suns’ Eric Gordon sits out vs. Bulls with wrist soreness, Allen good to go

The Phoenix Suns will be without veteran guard Eric Gordon in their Monday night clash against the Chicago Bulls due to right wrist soreness.

Gordon played 30 minutes on Sunday. He scored 4 points (1-of-6 from three). Gordon was questionable to play before the game. He has been ruled out.

Great news for the Suns! Fellow guard Grayson Allen is good to go for the game. He’s been cleared to play, so they’ll have an extra boost on the court.

Allen, initially listed as questionable with left knee soreness, is now available to provide much-needed backcourt firepower alongside Devin Booker and Chris Paul.

Without Gordon’s shooting and veteran presence, the Suns will need to rely on other players to step up against the Bulls. Expect increased minutes for Cameron Payne and Josh Okogie, both adept at providing offensive spark and energy off the bench.

This is a blow for the Suns, who are already navigating injuries to key players like Jae Crowder and Dario Saric. But with Allen back in the mix and their star duo leading the charge, they hope to secure the win and maintain their top-seed position in the Western Conference.

Suns Ready for Chicago Clash, Allen Starts Despite Knee Scare

The Suns were hoping the guard could play, head coach Frank Vogel informed reporters before the game. Despite suffering a knee injury during the Suns’ 117-110 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Sunday, Allen went to the locker room and came out to play the remainder of the game.

He made 5 out of 7 shots, scoring 14 points. He’ll start the game on Monday. Suns center Bol Bol is out.

This news came out before the news about Gordon and Allen.

Bol hasn’t been in a game since a victory against the Los Angeles Lakers on January 11 due to a sprained right foot.

Center Andre Drummond (low back spasms) and wing Patrick Williams (sprained right ankle) were classified by the Bulls as probable.

Williams will start for both of them when they play. The injured players include forward Torrey Craig (right plantar fascia sprain), guard Zach LaVine (right ankle sprain) and guard Lonzo Ball (left knee surgery).

The Suns will take their five-game winning run into their game against Chicago before starting a seven-game road trip on Wednesday in Dallas.
