Lakshya Sen Storms into Canada Open Final

Lakshya Sen finished third at the Thailand Open, matching his previous best result of the season. Now he has the opportunity to win the Canada Open. He will fight in the final against either Kodai Naraoka or Li Shi Feng.

The Indian badminton star Lakshya Sen upset Kenta Nishimoto of Japan in the semifinals of the Canada Open, a BWF Super 500 tournament, to get to the final.

Sen earned his first participation in a BWF World Tour final in over a year. In August 2022, he will compete in his final Commonwealth Games.

Sen’s Tenacity and Ability on Display in 44-Minute Victory

Lakshya Sen, who is rated number 19 at the moment, won all three games against Nishimoto, who is ranked number 11. Sen took the match with the scores of 21-17, 21-14 and took a 2-1 advantage. Sen’s ability and tenacity on the court were on full display during the 44-minute duel.

In placing third in the Thailand Open, Sen turned in his greatest season-to-date result. His opportunity to win the Canada Open championship has arrived. In the final, Kodai Naraoka or Li Shi Feng, the victor of the second semifinal, will face him. On Sunday evening, there will be one more game.

Can Sindhu Bounce Back and Win a Title Soon?

The seasoned Indian shuttler P.V. Sindhu lost her women’s singles semifinal match to world number one Akane Yamaguchi, which left her feeling disappointed. Sindhu, who is presently ranked 15th, was upset by Akane Yamaguchi in a straight games match. It ended 21-14, 21-15.

Since she returned from an injury layoff in January, Sindhu, who has been having trouble with poor execution on the world circuit, has not won any trophies.

She won her last Commonwealth Games title in August 2022 before hurting her ankle. She secured a second-place finish at the Marid Spain Masters and attained a commendable third-place position at the Malaysia Masters.
