India A and Pakistan A to Face Off in Most Expected Encounter
At the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Wednesday, India A and Pakistan A will face off in the most expected group-stage encounter of the ACC Men’s Emerging Team Asia Cup.
A bunch of bright youngsters who have previously shown their abilities on the domestic level will lead national team against Pakistan A.
Yash Dhull, Dhruv Jurel, Sai Sudarshan, and Abhishek Sharma had outstanding IPL seasons and now hope to leave a lasting impact. They aspire to make the senior national team.
By beating Nepal A and UAE A in the group round matches, the two teams have already guaranteed their spots in the tournament’s semi-final round. But before the game, the players were thrilled.

Abhishek Sharma, an all-rounder, said, “As fans, we used to follow India-Pakistan matches with great enthusiasm when we were young. When we have the opportunity, I can feel the excitement and pressure that come with it.”
“Star batter Dhruv Jurel, who impressed at Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, added that India and Pakistan have always had a rivalry which gives a different kind of thrill.”
Pacer Rajvardhan Hangargekar, who plays for Chennai Super Kings, said, “When India-Pakistan clash occurs, things become intense.”
Yash Dhull, the captain of the side, said, “The key to handling the pressure in the India-Pakistan clash will always be there.” The clash between rivals holds historical significance and is not solely about individual performances.
The two sides will face each other in two major events, the Asia Cup 2023 and the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.
