Carlo Ancelotti Makes Changes to Starting XI

Real Madrid made their final pit stop in Orlando before returning to Spain, capping up an exciting preseason. In the game, they faced Juventus.

Carlo Ancelotti picked the diamond formation once more and made substantial alterations to the starting XI. Vini Jr’s striking partner was Joselu, and both Modric and Kroos started the match. Tchouameni took some relaxation amid the Orlando heat.

Juventus vs Real Madrid: Kean and Weah give Juve early lead, Vinicius Jr. pulls one back

In the first minute of the match versus Madrid, Moes Kean scored a goal. Before the opening water break, Timothy Weah scored after Madrid’s defensive lapse during the transition.

Following the water break, Madrid stepped up their activity and began to generate a flurry of possibilities. By putting an excellent counterattack to an assured end with a goal, Vinicius Jr. single-handedly helped Madrid get back into the match.

Madrid upped their ante and dominated Juventus with a variety of impressive moves and strikes. Jude Bellingham and Joselu were used as target men as Madrid started sprinkling crosses into the box. To maintain Juventus’ 2-1 lead at the break, Wojciech Szczesny produced several remarkable saves.

Real Madrid failed to put pressure on the mid-third of the field in the first period of the game.

Madrid Keep Up Pressure in Second Half, But Fail to Tie Match

This made it possible for Juventus to frequently enter the Madrid box. Real Madrid, though, controlled the first half following the water break.

Madrid kept up their pressure throughout the second half. Juventus made an effort to become more physically present. Los Blancos made changes at the hour mark, inserting Militao, Alaba, Tchouameni, Rodrygo, Valverde, and Carvajal. Valverde entered the game and immediately made an aggressive try to hit the bar.

Jude, Vinicius, Kroos, and Fran Garcia were actively engaged as Real Madrid produced many threatening sequences on the left wing. Los Blancos missed the decisive advantage to tie the match, though. In the 77th minute, Ancelotti replaced Brahim with Vinicius Jr. In the final game of the preseason, Ancelotti also decided to give Odriozola some playing time.

Juventus: Vlahovic Scores Late Winner to Secure Victory

In the last minute of extra time, Dusan Vlahovic scored to give Juve a 3-1 victory. During the preseasons, Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga, and Aurelian Tchouameni demonstrated their readiness to be uncontested starters. Vinicius Jr. faces a challenge as he adjusts to a new position, but with this roster, he can manage it. He led Los Blancos in scoring throughout the preseason.

Joselu scored a beautiful goal against United, but his following performances let us down. Due to his absence from the past two games, Brahim might only play a little part this year. It’s encouraging to see left-back Fran Garcia getting more engaged in the attack. However, the right-backs’ continued participation is a source of worry.
