Hannah Wilkinson’s goal gives New Zealand’s first-ever Women’s World Cup victory
Hannah Wilkinson, ecstatic after scoring in the FIFA Women’s World Cup, celebrated by banging her chest and rushing to the corner flag.
In the second half, Hannah Wilkinson scored the game’s first goal. On Thursday, New Zealand defeated Norway 1-0 to claim its first-ever Women’s World Cup victory. A gunshot in downtown Auckland only hours before the match startled the host country.
