In Tuesday night’s NBA Cup game, the Wizards vs. Bulls faced off at Capital One Arena. The Chicago Bulls easily defeated the struggling Washington Wizards 127-108 with 19 points and 12 rebounds from Nikola Vucevic.

The Bulls climbed into a three-way tie at 2-1 with Boston and Atlanta and a half-game ahead of Cleveland in East Group C thanks to 21 points from Coby White and 18 from Zach Lavine.

Chicago won by a massive margin this season and gave up the second-fewest points. In the second quarter, the Bulls gained a decisive advantage, which they maintained in double figures for the remainder of the game.

Washington lost for the 12th consecutive game, dropping to 0-3 in the group and being eliminated from the quarterfinals despite Kyle Kuzma’s 23 points.

With four 3-pointers and 20 points, rookie Alex Sarr equalled a career-high for the Wizards, who benched starting point guard Jordan Poole for a second game due to left hip pain.

Bulls: Chicago became the third Eastern Conference club now above 500 away from home after improving to 6-5 on the road this season, following first-place Cleveland (8-1) and second-place Boston.

Wizards: The Wizards selected the 7-foot forward second overall in the NBA Draft after Sarr showed promise outside versatility. He improved to 24.3% from beyond the arc this season with four made threes on five tries.
