Al-Ittihad Prepares €162 Million Bid for Mohamed Salah

This summer, Al-Ittihad is prepared to take on Liverpool’s stance on Mohamed Salah’s availability. According to sources at CBS Sports, they are providing the 31-year-old with a bid of €150 million ($162 million).

Salah is the main target for the Saudi Pro League champions before the transfer window ends on September 20. They’re open to approving a transaction that exceeds the recent Neymar transfer record transfer of $97 million set by Al-Hilal in their country.

According to sources, the agreement would include about $108 million in guaranteed payments to Liverpool and an extra $54 million in performance-related bonuses, some of which may be difficult to reach. But Liverpool has always been adamant during the summer that they have no intention of parting with Salah.

By helping Darwin Nunez score the game-winning goal in Sunday’s 2-1 victory against Newcastle, Salah gave a welcome reminder of his ongoing greatness.

Mohamed Salah’s Potential Transfer to Al-Ittihad

“Mo Salah is a Liverpool player and essential for everything we do,” said manager Jurgen Klopp on Friday. “If there would be something, the answer would be no. My life philosophy is I think about a problem when I have it, and there is absolutely nothing at the moment.”

Al-Ittihad wants to pay Salah a comparable wage to those of Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo. Taking into account incentives and sponsorships, Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo allegedly make almost $216 million a year. Al-Ittihad hopes that Salah will consider asking for a transfer to Saudi Arabia as a result of this offer.

Salah’s agent: ‘We wouldn’t have renewed contract if we planned to leave’

However, earlier this month, his agent Ramy Abbas stated that”if we considered leaving LFC this year, we wouldn’t have renewed the contract last summer. Mohamed remains committed to LFC.”

Salah became the highest-paid player in Liverpool history thanks to this new deal, which extends for another two years.

Al-Ittihad’s effort to recruit Salah in the last hours of the transfer window is motivated, at least in part, by their ambition to have a significant effect on the Club World Cup, where they will compete as the host nation in December.

Sergio Ramos, a former defender for Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, has surfaced as a potential addition to the Saudi Arabian champions’ search for a star center-back.

They have shown interest in Raphael Varane of Manchester United and Gabriel of Arsenal but to no effect.
