LeBron James Eager to Share Court with Son Bronny

Lakers officials had been leery of when and where the first regular season fixture together of LeBron James and Bronny would occur before Tuesday’s season opener.

But NBA superstar LeBron James, who turns 40 in December, confessed to pregame remarks that he couldn’t wait to share a court with his son and realize a long-held dream.

I just want to run out the tunnel with him, see him warm up, and know that he’ll be in uniform,” James told reporters during Tuesday’s morning shoot-around.

“I’ve run out on opening night 22 times now, so I’m not sure how many more times I’ll get the chance or how long I have left to run out. I will not neglect it.

Lakers solo preparations for the start of the new season have been dominated by anticipation about the James double act since Bronny James joined the franchise with the 55th pick in the NBA draft in June.

And 20-year-old Bronny James is set to spend much of a rookie season away from the Lakers senior squad with most of his time on the developmental G-League.
