
The Medal Tally for Paralympics 2024
The Paris Paralympics 2024 saw India bring home 29 medals, creating history. India will get another opportunity to increase its medal tally in today’s event on 8 September.
On Saturday in Paris, India secured the positions of silver and bronze in javelin and athletics. Navdeep also represented India and won the silver medal in the javelin throw, while Simran won a bronze medal in women’s 200m T12.
Para-athletics has been the most productive for India in the Paralympics, and this has taken India’s tally to 29 medals in the Paralympics in Paris. Making the tally, India has scored six gold, ten silver, and 13 bronze till now.
Last Push for India: Pooja Ojha Aims for the 30th Medal
India has already won 19 medals in the Tokyo Paralympics, and its athletes continue to dominate the games. India’s performance at the Paralympics is undoubtedly its best, considering the impressive number of medals won.
It is the last day of the Paralympics in Paris, and those especially waiting to see Indian athletes are waiting for Pooja Ojha. She is participating in the women’s KL1 200m (semi-final). Winning one more medal will take the country’s tally to 30. If Pooja reaches the final, she will perform her show after 3 pm as per the Indian schedule.
