LeBron James: The NBA’s Unstoppable Scoring Machine
The remarkable milestones of LeBron James, including his title as the NBA’s all-time leading career scorer, showcase his extraordinary staying power.
He is 39 years old and in his 22nd season after contributing to the USA men’s basketball team to win Olympic gold a few weeks ago; he is showing no signs of slowing down.
He is also leading in scoring points in the playoffs, with 8,162 career playoff points to his credit. Another NBA legend, Michael Jordan, with 5,987 points but followed this behind Scotty Pippen.
This coming season, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar Le Bron James is near to milestones: 50 thousand points scored in the NBA games, including the regular season and the playoffs.
To give you some reference, second on that list is Lakers center extraordinaire Kareem Abdul-Jabbar with 44,149 points cumulatively.
James re-upped with the Los Angeles franchise earlier this summer by agreeing to a two-year pact. The second year of that deal is a player option year, but one has to wonder if he will continue playing beyond that two-year contract and continue to pad his outrageous career numbers.
